Product Overview
This exhaust gas temperature sensor is essential for Volkswagen Group vehicles equipped with 2.0L TDI common-rail diesel engines and diesel particulate filter (DPF) systems. Installed upstream of the turbocharger or in the DPF housing, it provides critical temperature data for DPF regeneration timing, turbocharger overheat protection, and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) control.
Key Features
- High-temperature ceramic NTC thermistor element
- Platinum-coated sensing tip for oxidation resistance
- Double-sheathed stainless steel probe (Inconel 600)
- Vibration-resistant sealed connector
- Fast response time for rapid temperature changes

Diagnostic Notes
Common fault codes: P0544 (EGT Sensor Circuit), P2084 (EGT Sensor Range/Performance). If replacing due to fault codes, inspect the wiring harness for chafing near the exhaust manifold. Resistance at 20°C should be approximately 230 Ohms. At 900°C, resistance drops to approximately 28 Ohms.
